The Animal Coalition of Delaware County (ACDC) is a 501(c)(3), non-profit animal rescue organization primarily serving Pennsylvania’s Delaware County.
ACDC was founded by a group of concerned citizens who feel that all animals deserve a loving home and a fighting chance. Run entirely by volunteers, ACDC rescues and places cats, dogs, rabbits, and guinea pigs in screened and loving foster homes where they are socialized and well-cared for until they find permanent adoptive families.
We Couldn’t Do This Without Our Volunteers
ACDC’s daily operations are managed by an all-volunteer base who are on special committees with a selected department coordinator. Department coordinators assist in ensuring that our strategic objectives are met through their own departmental plan. Volunteers who are elected Board members are vested with the responsibility of overseeing the management and direction of ACDC.
The Board members are responsible for financial development and stability, for program offerings, for planning and policy decisions, as well as for ongoing evaluations of the organization. The Board is responsible for the quality and integrity of governance and must always be aware that ACDC’s mission is accomplished through the generosity of Volunteer Members and others hence it has an obligation to provide relevant and competently managed programs.
ACDC extend our thanks to all the people who volunteer their time; sponsor, foster or adopt a homeless pet; or donate needed pet supplies. Your time, energy, passion and generosity are greatly appreciated! And, as always, we welcome input and suggestions from the volunteer base to assist and help us continue to grow.

Educating the Public
ACDC also works to educate the public about the importance of spaying and neutering pets, as well as encouraging the humane treatment of companion animals. Over the last five years, ACDC has spayed or neutered more than 280 cats, in addition to spaying and neutering all the animals adopted through the organization if they are old enough at the time. Together, this adds up to more than 1,500 animals.

I have two stray cats that live outside of my house, Both cats are use to being indoor cats but were left behind on the street when their owners moved. They will not survive long on the street since they are use to being indoors. I rent and can only have one cat which I already have, Can you accept these two precious babies at you facility?
